What does Smart Tech Co. do?
Smart Tech Co. is a specialised electrical, extra low voltage (ELV) and building management system (BMS) subcontractor based in Kuwait. We supply, install, test and support commissioning of power distribution, lighting, structured cabling, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, public address, security and BMS systems.
Do you work directly with clients or through main contractors?
We are a dedicated subcontractor and work closely with main contractors, consultants and project stakeholders. We are also happy to discuss direct packages for smaller projects.
Which sectors do you serve?
Residential and housing, commercial, administrative, governmental, hotels and resorts, educational and cultural, malls and hypermarkets, sports clubs, industrial sites and open areas.
How do I request a quotation?
Use the Get a Quote form and answer a few quick questions, or call +965-51133630 or email javed@smarttech-kw.com. Sending drawings and the scope of work helps us respond faster.
Where is your office?
Farwaniya, Block-4, Street-55, Rawia Complex, Floor-4, Office No. 03, Kuwait.
Do you provide maintenance after installation?
Yes. Contracting, services and maintenance are all part of what we do, and we can plan preventive maintenance for the systems we install.
What standards do you follow?
We work to the approved specifications, international standards, project schedules and quality requirements of each project, supported by our quality policy and yearly quality audits.
Do you work as a subcontractor to main contractors?
Yes. Smart Tech is a dedicated electrical, ELV and BMS subcontractor and works to the main contractor programme, the consultant specification and the approved material submittals.
Do you provide testing and commissioning support?
Yes. We test each circuit and panel, record the results and support inspections by the consultant and the relevant authorities until the system is accepted.
Which lighting control protocols do you work with?
We install and commission the protocol specified for the project, commonly DALI, KNX or relay based panels, together with the system supplier.
Can lighting control connect to the BMS?
Yes. Where the specification calls for it, we integrate lighting status and control with the Building Management System.
Do you install decorative and architectural lighting?
Yes. We install decorative, linear and facade fixtures and coordinate with the architect and ceiling contractor so the finished result matches the design intent.
Do you test emergency lighting?
Yes. We check emergency and exit luminaires, battery operation and duration as part of testing before the inspection.
What does ELV include?
ELV covers low voltage systems such as structured cabling, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, public address and BMS wiring and devices. We deliver all of them under one team.
Can you take only part of the ELV scope?
Yes. We can take a single system or a complete package, depending on the main contractor requirement.
Do you provide test reports for cabling?
Yes. We test and certify copper and fibre links and provide the reports so the client and consultant can verify performance.
Do you supply active network equipment?
Our scope is the passive cabling infrastructure and racks. Active equipment is normally supplied by the IT contractor, and we coordinate with them.
When should home automation wiring be planned?
Ideally at design or first fix stage, before the walls are closed. We can also advise on retrofit options for existing homes.
Can the system work when the internet is down?
Core functions such as lighting scenes and wall panels run locally, so they keep working. Remote access from a phone needs an internet connection.
Do you build the BMS panels yourselves?
Yes. Our team assembles and wires BMS and control panels, and tests them before they are delivered to site.
Can the BMS be integrated with other systems?
Yes. We integrate lighting, fire alarm, metering and HVAC equipment over BACnet, Modbus and other protocols specified for the project.
Do you install IP cameras and control rooms?
Yes. We install IP cameras, recording and storage, and complete control rooms with consoles and video walls.
Can I view the cameras from my phone?
Yes, where the system and your network policy allow it. We configure secure remote viewing and user permissions.
Do you work to the fire authority requirements?
We install to the approved design and the requirements called for in the specification, and we support the inspections and witness tests the authority requires.
Can the fire alarm trigger other systems?
Yes. We connect the fire alarm to HVAC shutdown, door release, lifts, public address and BMS as the design requires.
Can access control work with CCTV?
Yes. We link door events with camera views so operators can verify who is at a door and review the recorded video.
What happens to the doors if power fails?
This depends on the lock type and the design. We install and test fail-safe and fail-secure doors as specified, and connect the fire alarm release.
Can you combine CCTV, alarms and access control?
Yes. We integrate them so an alarm event can open the nearest camera view and trigger the door or notification actions you define.
Do you offer maintenance after installation?
Yes. We plan preventive maintenance and respond to faults, and we advise on spare parts during the defects liability period.
Can the PA system be used for emergency messages?
Yes. We connect it to the fire alarm so evacuation messages take priority over music and normal announcements, as the design requires.
Can you cover outdoor areas?
Yes. We install weather resistant horn and column speakers for car parks, grounds and sports areas.
